5 common questions answered
NHTSA identifies two safety concerns for the 2019 Ford Mustang. The Transmission Gear Position Indication issue can shorten the “Transmission Not In Park” warning and chime, creating a risk of unintended movement if someone exits before selecting Park. The Instrument Panel issue can leave the cluster blank at startup, hiding speed, fuel, temperature, and safety-system warnings. Driving with either condition may increase the risk of injury or a crash. Do not wait for symptoms to worsen or assume prior work was completed. A prompt VIN check can determine whether a free Ford remedy remains open for your vehicle.
