5 common questions answered
NHTSA recall information identifies three safety concerns for the 2017 Ford Mustang. A passenger air bag inflator may rupture in a crash and send metal fragments toward occupants, creating a risk of serious injury or death. A loose driver-side door-handle return spring may allow the door to unlatch in a side impact, increasing injury risk. A separating engine oil cooler tube hose may cause an oil leak, engine failure and a possible fire if oil reaches an ignition source. Waiting can leave these conditions unresolved. Because recall status is VIN-specific, contact Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough promptly for a free check and guidance on the manufacturer remedy.
