5 common questions answered
The NHTSA recalls involve three safety concerns: a seat back weld that could fail and allow luggage into the passenger compartment during a crash, transmission torque converter weld studs that could fail and cause a loss of vehicle movement, and a steering wheel retaining bolt that could loosen and allow the wheel to detach. These conditions can increase injury or crash risks, even if the vehicle seems to drive normally. Waiting may leave an open safety remedy unresolved. A VIN check identifies whether your specific vehicle is affected and whether the manufacturer repair remains necessary.
