5 common questions answered
NHTSA’s reported recalls involve two important concerns. A rear suspension toe link may fracture from stress, causing a sudden change in handling and increasing crash risk. On vehicles with the affected 3.5L GTDI engine, an improperly brazed turbocharger oil supply tube may leak oil onto engine components, increasing the risk of fire if the oil reaches an ignition source. Waiting can leave a safety concern unresolved, even when the vehicle appears to drive normally. A VIN check identifies whether your specific Ford Flex requires action, and Ford’s applicable recall remedy is performed at no charge by an authorized dealer.
