5 common questions answered
NHTSA identifies two recall concerns affecting certain 2016 Ford Taurus vehicles. A rear suspension toe link may fracture because of stress, causing a sudden change in handling and increasing crash risk. On vehicles covered by the engine recall, an improperly brazed turbocharger oil supply tube may leak oil onto engine components; an ignition source could then increase fire risk. Waiting to check an open recall can leave a known safety concern unresolved. Even if your vehicle drives normally, schedule a VIN check promptly after receiving a notice or whenever you are uncertain about past recall work. The appropriate remedy is determined by Ford and completed by an authorized dealer at no charge.
